    Our core competences are:

    Thermal Engineering - Design and analysis

    Over 25 man-years of experience in satellite bus, payload (optical and radar) and component thermal design and analysis, covering the whole verification process including test support and execution and reduction and correlation of models. The SpaceLabs team uses industry standard software (ESATAN-TMS or FEM based tools).


    Structural Engineering - Design and analysis

    Our team of structural engineers has worked on many of the main ESA program of the last decade. We have the set-up, infrastructure and heritage to be your partner in design, analysis and verification, taking on full responsibility in the form of fixed price workpackages or by high-level technical consultancy on most (niche) areas common to the space sector:

    • Metallic and composite structures
    • Static, dynamic analyses and correlation of models
    • Buckling
    • Vibro-Acoustics
    • Thermo-elastic analyses (including automated thermal mapping)
    • Fracture mechanics

    We use CATIA V5, Nastran (Msc and NX), Abaqus, Femap and Patran, and a variety of in-house developed tools to optimize our performance.


    Mechanisms Engineering – Design and analysis

    Starting already at the end of the previous century, ATG has built up an experience in developing mechanisms in the form of flap-systems. Today we use this knowledge in our Space projects and combine it with the overall knowledge we have on structures to find the optimal solution from both the kinematics as well as from the strength perspective.
