ATG Europe joins the Dutch S2B-PIB
On 19 July 2019, ATG Europe has officially joined the Dutch S2B-PIB (Science to Business – Partners for International Business).
This is a government program aimed at fostering the Dutch industrial participation in big science projects in France and Switzerland by delivering the highly specialised technical capabilities of Dutch industry to big science facilities.
The industry cluster includes TNO, VDL, Boessenkool, Demaco, DeRoovers, HIT- Heemskerk Innovative Technology BV, MatTech. On the government side, participants include RVO, the Dutch Embassies in France and Switzerland, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. Collaborative Partners include NWO-I’s network of big science Industrial Liaison Officers (ILO-Net) and institutes such as DIFFER and NIKHEF.
The PIB program is active on different levels, including participation at big science conferences and exhibitions, organisation of incoming international missions of key decision makers to the Netherlands, gathering information and technical roadmaps to allow Dutch industry identify the areas where they can best contribute to the Big Science facilities.
ATG is presently contributing to the ITER project as part of a Framework contract for the provision of mechanical, electrical and systems engineering services to Fusion for Energy (F4E). The support encompasses the preparation and review of technical specifications, the monitoring of the activities of other F4E Contractors and the reportingand communication to other stakeholders.
